Sembalun is a highland village situated at the eastern foot of Mount Rinjani. It is surrounded by magnificent hills, often referred to as the "Seven Summits of Sembalun." These hills offer spectacular viewpoints, vast savannas, and sea-of-clouds experiences with much shorter trekking durations compared to the main volcano.

The most famous hill in Sembalun. The trail features some steep stairs at the beginning but rewards you with a breathtaking, colorful patchwork view of Sembalun's agricultural fields and Mount Rinjani in the background.
Known as the second highest hill in Sembalun. The hike is quite steep ('Tanjakan Cinta' and 'Tanjakan Penyesalan') but it offers the most incredible sunset view facing Mount Rinjani.
The highest among the Sembalun hills. The trek takes you through dense forest. Reaching the top feels like walking above the clouds. Perfect for overnight camping and stargazing.
Sempana features a vast, beautiful savanna. The hike is challenging but less crowded, making it a peaceful retreat. You can often find edelweiss fields near the top.
A beautiful trek through open savannas. From the peak, you get an uninterrupted 360-degree view of the entire Sembalun valley and the majestic Mount Rinjani.
Different from the savanna-dominated hills, Bao Ritip is covered in dense tropical forest. It is a haven for flora and fauna enthusiasts, especially for spotting rare orchids.
