After breakfast and registration at Mount Rinjani National Park in Sembalun, the trek begins through the vast grasslands and rolling savanna that make the Sembalun route famous. The trail gradually climbs through several rest posts while offering increasingly impressive views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. As you gain altitude, the landscape transforms from open savanna into rugged volcanic terrain. By late afternoon, you will arrive at Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639 m), one of the most spectacular viewpoints on Mount Rinjani. From camp, enjoy panoramic views of Segara Anak Lake, the volcanic caldera, and the summit ridge while watching a breathtaking sunset. Dinner will be served at camp before settling in for the night under the stars.
